Thanks to all of you for submitting your beautiful smile images. With a wedding last week I needed a little tension relief and you certainly provided it with your warm and wonderful photographs.

We’ve crafted a musical slideshow using many of your images.

I wanted to use all of them but I ran out of music. The song is new tune I put on my Simple Beauty CD. It’s called Holy Smile.

The melody came to me last December while I was in Durham at the American Tobacco District and noticed a roomful of radiant smiles at our company’s long-term employees’ luncheon.

I do believe there is something sacred and holy about a person’s smile. As mountain historian Bob Pate once told me during an interview – a smile is a window to a person’s soul.

It was very difficult for me to pick a winner of the Best Smile. There were so many good ones. But here we go. The winner is Connor Patrick Roth whose brilliant smile is featured at the left and fills the third frame of the photo essay. I’ll be sending a signed copy of Simple Beauty to Connor’s dad and mom this week.

While you’re watching and listening to the slideshow think about the following question: Who has the best smile in show business? Feel free to name and discuss.
