LMRA says that while in high school she turned down a date with Boomer (Norman) Esiason - the ex-NFL quarterback and now football analyst.   Esiason was the quarterback at LMRA’s rival high school.  As LMRA put it:  “I guess I was being 'true to my school.' Look where that got me?????”

Former WRAL Morning Anchor Laurie Clowers recalls the time in Florida when Joe Namath asked her out for a date.  She also declined.  Something about those quarterbacks!
