Let me be your Santa #3

Posted December 11, 2008 9:12 a.m. EST

We move into stage three of the Let Me Be Your Santa game on Carolina Conversations. Today we will add two extra gifts to the giveaway package. In addition to a copy of the Blue Ridge Reunion book and the CD today we are throwing in a couple of holiday albums: Have a Holly Raleigh Christmas Volume II plus my Christmas in Carolina CD. This is some serious holiday cheer!

Today’s question is: What is your favorite holiday song and why? What song do you have to hear before you can truly get into the spirit of the season? Tomorrow I will toss the names of the bloggers who answered these questions and pull out a winner from my wintry hat. Personally I know it’s almost Christmas after I sing “Sweet Little Jesus Boy” at Cary Presbyterian Church. I’ve sung that song every Christmas Eve in Cary for more than 20 years along with one that I wrote “Road to Bethlehem.”

Drum roll, please. We have a winner from Wednesday’s question about meaningful Christmas gifts. Congratulations tvhartrick. Your name was retrieved from our holiday hat this morning. Please email me at bleslie@wral.com and give me your address so I can send you the Blue Ridge Reunion collection, which, by the way, will soon appear in gift stores along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Thank you for sharing these warm and wonderful stories!
