Hope to see a lot of you at the Tall Ships Festival this weekend along the coast. I’ll be heading down after the morning news on Thursday. It’ll be a special treat to work again with Debra Morgan and David Crabtree. Debra and I co-anchored the First in Flight Centennial coverage three years ago. I hope the weather is better this time! By the way, my new song “Tall Ships” is ready for airplay. You will hear it Saturday morning during our two hour special beginning at 9:00AM. It was fun to imagine a beautiful sunrise, gentle waves and breeze and then make a musical transition into a big, bold and majestic parade of tall ships with billowing sails. Please let me know what you think of the song. I’ll try to get a link to it posted soon. I can’t wait to hear the NC Symphony’s performance Friday of "Last Voyage of the Currituck." It was written by symphony trombonist Terry Mizesko. It will be part of a free outdoor concert on the waterfront in Beaufort. Saturday night the orchestra will perform the piece again in Cary at Regency Park. More tomorrow on tall ships!
