Indoor pickleball facility to open in Brier Creek

Central North Carolina is set to get another indoor pickleball facility later this year.

Pickles and Play is due to open its fourth location in late May or early June at 10601 World Trade Blvd. in Raleigh.

Owner and founder Lane Ethridge said Pickles and Play will operate 24,000 square feet of the 36,000-square-foot building.

“We are excited to add another location in RDU,” Ethridge wrote in an email to WRAL News. “This cornerstone property solidifies Pickles and Play further as a leader in the Triangle and the greater pickleball community.  “

Ethridge said the new facility will have eight dedicated courts that are each 34 feet by 60 feet, which is a slightly larger playing surface than the 25 courts among the company’s three other locations.

Pickles and Play also has locations in Chapel Hill, Garner and Wake Forest. The Wake Forest location was the company’s first to open in 2023.

The Brier Creek location will also have a party area with a bar for events.

The lowest-tier membership costs $55 per month. New members also must pay a $100 one-time initiation fee.

Drop-in guest fees range from $10-$25.
