Cumberland holds three-day pet adoption drive

— Cumberland County Animal Services is holding a three-day drive in Fayetteville to get pets adopted.

The event at the Pet Smart on Skibo Road began Friday and continues through Sunday.

On the first day, 17 dogs and cats were adopted, and they expect more animals to find homes Saturday, Animal Control Director John A. Lauby.

People can see the animals at PetSmart and take them home the same day. Adoption fees range from $23 to $98, depending on the type and size of the animal.
