Herpes virus may contribute to Alzheimer's, study says

Researchers published their findings in the journal Neuron on Thursday, which points to the 6A and 7 strains as factors that can increase the risk of developing the neurodegenerative disease. The study reviewed 622 brains from people who showed signs of Alzheimer's. The results showed that these individuals had levels of the Herpes virus that were twice as high as those who did not have Alzheimer's.
