Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Baglione here tracking potentially the hottest day of the year for us at RDU. Our forecast high is 90. We have not quite hit 90 yet. Fayetteville has, but I do think as we head into the next couple of days, regardless of if it's 8990 degrees, it's still just gonna be pretty hot from where we should be in the seventies. Our temperatures climb there 88 at two o'clock this afternoon, we still are in the low eighties at eight o'clock, 77 into this evening. Right about nine. Our normal again is in the mid to upper seventies for this time of the year. Records are in the low nineties. So we're going to be close to them as far as today. Tomorrow dropping off there into the weekend into the low to mid eighties that is due to increased cloud cover and rain chances both days this weekend, not a total washout. We'll talk kind of what we're looking at out here in just a second. But if you have any plans, mainly just kind of often on rainfall, we have the, of course, ham and yam festival, fun activity out there. Saturday is starting at about 10 a.m. in the morning. We're looking at a pretty limited chance of some rainfall to start maybe some better coverage into the afternoon again. It will certainly not be a total washout. I don't anticipate widespread issues, but we could see some scattered showers and storms. Both Saturday and Sunday, 40 to 50% chance, meaning there will be some dry time, there will be some wetter time. So if you're headed out and about, you may want to just pack the umbrella and we should be good to go rainfall amounts, let's say half to maybe three quarters of an inch. It's not gonna be a big rain maker for us, but we could use some so it will be needed rainfall in that regard. We go to the nineties next couple of days, eighties for the weekend, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday starting to heat back up with scattered showers and storms still possible. Both Monday and Tuesday, we'll watch for the potential of some strong and severe storms on Tuesday. At this point, there's no necessarily risk outlined from the storm prediction center, but we're in that season where if we get hot like that with temperatures in the eighties, we get fronts coming through, things like that, it could be a little bit more turbulent. So we'll watch that. Otherwise today, tomorrow, if you like the heat like the sunshine, enjoy it. It's gonna be a hot couple of days to close out the week.
