Wake County foster families now have greater access to Marbles Kids Museum. A new partnership between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), Wake County's Department of Social Services and Marbles Kids Museum will provide foster families who are licensed through Wake County with memberships that will provide free admission to the kids museum.
The membership provides year-round access to Marbles’ hands-on exhibits, early museum entry, member-only events and exclusive discounts to the Marbles PlayStore, IMAX theater, camps and more. Wake County believes a benefit like this will help to recruit more families to foster children.

“Marbles is a place for joy and connection,” said Jonathan Frederick, CEO of Marbles Kids Museum. “For years, we have imagined a way for foster families to have more access to Marbles, a safe and welcoming place to experience the power of play. Now, thanks to Blue Cross NC and Wake County Social Services, this program is a reality."
To access memberships, foster families must be licensed through Wake County by contacting Wake County Social Services to determine eligibility for a Marbles membership. Memberships will remain active for as long as foster parents maintain license with Wake County.
