Kings Dominion on Tuesday unveiled the look of its new Rapterra roller coaster coming to the amusement park in Virginia.
The design of the car was revealed at the annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo in Orlando, Florida.

The Rapterra is a winged roller coaster, so riders will sit in seats on either side of the track instead of above it, as with traditional roller coasters, or beneath it, like in a suspended roller coaster.
"The floorless, open design will envelop passengers in the sensation of flight during the ride's 89 second ride time," Kings Dominion described.
The new ride is set to open during the 2025 season at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia, which is about a three-hour drive from Raleigh.
The ride is the tallest and longest launched wind roller coaster in the world, at 145 feet tall and over 3,000 feet in length, according to Kings Dominion.
