The annual Race for the Cure, the 30th anniversary edition in the Triangle, will be held in downtown Durham, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The race and fundraising event moved from downtown Raleigh -- with a start/finish line on the campus of Meredith College -- to Research Triangle Park 10 years ago.

The 2026 event will be April 25 in Durham, with the familiar traditions of the opening ceremony and post-race party.

Registration is $40 for adults who plan to participate in person and includes a T-shirt. A virtual option allows people to pay $30 to "sleep in for the cure." All money raised goes to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which funds research into breast cancer causes and treatments and provides financial support for people to get mammograms and cancer care.
