Cary-based Cotton House Craft Brewers files for bankruptcy

A popular brewery in downtown Cary has filed for bankruptcy.

According to an April 9 post on the Cotton House Craft Brewer's Facebook page, the brewery has faced significant financial strains after a partnership attempt to expand their catering business. 

The Cary-based brewery said it will undergo a strategic restructuring, posting:

The partnership we hoped would flourish took a different direction, and over the past two years, we have faced significant financial strains as a result. Despite these challenges, we have remained committed to our mission, and it is this resilience that has led us to our next chapter. Today, we announce that Cotton House Craft Brewers will undergo a strategic restructuring by filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. While our business model has evolved, our dedication to the community and to providing exceptional craft beer remains unwavering. Cotton House wrote it will continue serving beer at their location at 307 S. Academy St., writing, "Our commitment to our loyal patrons and the community that has supported us through thick and thin is strong; and that continued support is appreciated now more than ever. We are excited for what the future holds and look forward to continuing to share our passion for craft beer with all of you."
