Life and Science Museum plans after-hours fun this month

You'll find a water fight in Into the Mist, a giant slip n' slide, along with food trucks, cold treats and a beer tent for the adults at the Durham museum.

The Museum of Life and Science in Durham will offer some after-hours fun Friday with activities to cool off.

Science at Sunset runs 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday. You'll find a water fight in Into the Mist, a giant slip n' slide, along with food trucks, cold treats and a beer tent for the adults.

The museum's Butterfly House and outdoor exhibits, including the Dinosaur Trail and Farmyard, will be open. The main building will be closed.

Tickets are available only on Friday. They are $8 for non-members and $5 for museum members.
