Libraries kick off summer reading programs
Get your kids reading this summer in one of the many summer reading programs at libraries across the region.
Posted — UpdatedLocal libraries are gearing up for their summer-long reading programs that aim to keep kids reading all summer.
The program, for babies to teens, requires kids to read or be read to for a certain amount of time each week. There are often regular events, prizes and giveaways all summer. And best of all, it's free.
Many libraries will be holding special events over the next week or two to kick off the summer program. Here's some information along with links to regional library systems for more details:
- Wake County's regional and branch libraries each hold their own summer reading program kickoffs and programs. Many are in the next week or so. Check your local library for details.
