Happy National Coupon Month to all of you! Yes, it’s the official month of the coupon. We are going to have some fun celebrating its awesome power starting right NOW with a fabulous coupon giveaway!

But first… a little history.

According to the PMA (Promotion Marketing Association), the first recorded coupons were handwritten from Coca-Cola in 1886. That’s 125 years ago! Imagine all the coupons that have been redeemed in the last 125 years. By 1965, one half of Americans were using coupons and in 2010, according to mediapost.com , couponers saved 3.7 BILLION dollars using coupons! Way to go Smart Shoppers!

In 1998, couponers around the globe (not really) began celebrating National Coupon Month every September and this is why we are going to shake things up with bunches of coupon giveaways all month long!

Is that cheering I hear?

Not only will I be posting a coupon giveaway of some sort EVERY Friday in September (instead of the usual once a month giveaway), I will also throw in some surprise coupon giveaways throughout the week, every week in September. You’ll have to be on your toes to win some of these goodies. Don’t worry if you can’t access the blog during the day while at work (because I know none of you read the blog while on the clock……). I’ll post them at all hours including the evening, so everyone will have plenty of chances to win, win, win!
