Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan
Lance Cpl. Jabari N. Thompson, 22, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died of wounds sustained July 13 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.

Thompson was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
