Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan
Sgt. Joseph M. Garrison, 27, of New Bethlehem, Pa., died while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedCAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed Monday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Tuesday.
Sgt. Joseph M. Garrison, 27, of New Bethlehem, Pa., died while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.
Garrison was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
