Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan
Lance Cpl. Steven G. Sutton, 24, of Leesburg, Ga., died May 26 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedCAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed last week in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Wednesday.
Lance Cpl. Steven G. Sutton, 24, of Leesburg, Ga., died May 26 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.
Sutton was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
