A Lego fan convention is set for Raleigh in March.

BrickUniverse 2015 will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center on March 28 and March 29. The event, designed for all ages, aims to inspire Lego fans with all kinds of creations and offer building seminars for beginners to pros. There also will be Lego items for sale and lots of opportunities to play and build.

Greyson Beights, the organizer, is a long-time Lego builder and university student. This is the first BrickUniverse convention, but the Triangle resident has participated in other out-of-state events in the past. Beights has already lined up nearly 20 vendors for the event.

"BrickUniverse has been a dream of mine for a long time," he tells me in an email.

One-day tickets will be $15 at the door, but you can buy them through March 28 for about $12 online. Kids 2 and under are free. A ticket might be a fun stocking stuffer for the Lego fan at your house.
