RALEIGH, N.C. — A traveling LEGO art show is stopping in Raleigh this spring, event promoter Fever announced Tuesday.

Artist Nathan Sawaya’s "Art of the Brick" exhibit will be on display at the Pleasant Valley Promenade, 6240 Glenwood Ave., starting in mid-May.

The exhibit has been named one of CNN's Top 10 “Global Must-See Exhibitions." It features more than one million LEGO bricks used in upwards of 90 sculptures. Some of the art is original, which others are re-imagined versions of famous works like Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

The exhibit also includes a 20-foot T-Rex skeleton and a LEGO multimedia collection of photos produced by award-winning photographer Dean West.

The exhibit is produced by Exhibition Hub, the same company behind the "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience," which also visited Raleigh.
