Regis Philbin dead at 88

— PEOPLE Magazine reported on Saturday that Regis Philbin died at 88 years old.

"We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Regis Philbin passed away last night of natural causes, one month shy of his 89th birthday," his family shared with PEOPLE in an exclusive statement on Saturday.

Philbin was a legendary television host, known for hosting the iconic "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and "Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee."

Celebrities took to Twitter to react to his passing and share memories of his life.

Jimmy Kimmel shared kinds words in honor of his friend.

William Shatner shared condolences for Philbin's wife.

"This one hurts," said Josh Gad.
