Leesville Road reopens after car hits power pole

Leesville Road near O'Neal Road and Country Trail had been closed and nearby homes were without power Tuesday morning because of a crash. The road reopened by 7 a.m.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Leesville Road reopened Tuesday morning after being closed because of a crash.

A car ran into a power pole off Leesville Road in Raleigh around 1:08 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, a man, was charged with DWI.

Leesville Road had been closed between O’Neal Road and Country Trail.

After about 650 customers were without power, all power had been restored before 7:30 a.m.
