Lawmakers approve Fort Bragg annexation
Fayetteville city leaders have already voted to support the legislation, which would make Fayetteville North Carolina's fifth largest city – a population increase from about 168,000 ot 206,000.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — State lawmakers Thursday gave final approval to a plan that allows Fayetteville to annex 85 percent of Fort Bragg.
Fayetteville city leaders have already voted to support the legislation, which would make Fayetteville North Carolina's fifth largest city – a population increase from about 168,000 ot 206,000.
Spring Lake would annex the remaining part of Fort Bragg, gaining about 5,000 residents.
