DURHAM, N.C. — There's plenty of exciting promotions coming soon at Durham Bulls games throughout the rest of the season.
This weekend, the Bulls will participate in Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversion or “Fun Cup” initiative with Latino Heritage Weekend . The three-day celebration starts Friday with food and music dedicated to the Hispanic culture. Before Sunday's game, soccer players will be invited onto the field for a Kick on the Field at 4 p.m.

Friday’s show will feature fireworks, and Sunday's game will also be sensory-friendly, offering lower volume music, sensory "cool down" spaces and more, according to Emerge Pediatric Therapy.

If you want to avoid the high prices of buying food at sporting events, Thursdays will be the best nights to visit the DBAP. An Afforda-BULL promotion will be offered at every Thursday home game until the end of the season, where 14 different food options will be sold at a lower price.

This promotion will only be offered three more times this season: July 25, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22.

Ticket deals will also be offered for a select group of remaining home games. If you present your Lowes Foods card at the box office before home games on Aug. 6 and Aug. 22, you will receive a two-for-one ticket offer.

Following the Carolina Hurricanes' run to the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals, they will partner with the Durham Bulls, who will be decked out in special hockey-themed uniforms, for the second-consecutive Bunch of Jerks Night on Saturday, Aug. 23. Last season, the partnership drew the ninth-largest paid crowd in the ballpark's history.

Marvel Superheros will invade the DBAP on Sunday, Aug. 11 for Marvel Superhero Day. In addition to the team's Captain America jerseys, the video boards will be Marvel-themed, Marvel music will be played all evening and in-game promotions will be superhero themed. Captain America bobbleheads will also be given out at the game.

Princess Night, which is scheduled for Aug. 25, invites fans to dress as their favorite princess with special guest appearances, photo opportunities and a pre-game parade at 4:25 p.m.

A couple of local food trucks will be parked at the ballpark each Friday night for Food Truck Fridays. The trucks will serve food throughout the entire game until the Friday night fireworks light up the night sky after every Friday home game.

Each Saturday home game will conclude with fireworks also.

There are only four Friday and four Saturday home games remaining this season. Games on July 26 and 27, Aug. 9, 10, 23, 24, 30 and 31 will all end with a fireworks show.

Following every Sunday home game, kids will be allowed to take a lap around the bases. There will only be four more opportunities to do this: July 28, Aug. 11, Aug. 25 and Sept. 1.

Wine Down Wednesday will take place in the ballpark on Aug. 7. With the purchase of a special ticket, fans will be given access to special wine tastings throughout the game with up to five pours, a special menu and a Durham Bulls wine glass.

The Bulls will pay tribute to Durham's first professional baseball team Saturday, Aug. 31, complete with a full rebranding of the team.

With the season continuing to wind down, there's no reason to not visit the ballpark this summer. For a complete list of promotions, click here.
