LOS ANGELES — Two stars from Raleigh will perform on the America's Got Talent stage for the last time on Tuesday evening.
America's Got Talent airs at 8 p.m. on WRAL, and young violinist Tyler Butler Figueroa and singer Sgt. Major Christal Sanders Rheams will represent the Triangle.
Tyler, age 11, has impressed national audiences since his June 11 audition, when he played Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" while his mom watched his passionate performance tearfully. That video has 30 million views on YouTube.

Last month, Tyler advanced to the semifinals after a breathtaking performance of "Don't You Worry Child."

Tyler, a cancer survivor, lives in Raleigh with his mom and attends Walnut Creek Elementary.

"I feel very excited to be performing again," Tyler said in an interview with WRAL. "I have to make sure this is my best performance since it's my last on the show."

Joining Tyler on stage at the Dolby Theater will be Rheams, who grew up in Raleigh and attended Enloe High School. Rheams is part of a singing group, Voices of Service, that is made up of veteran and active service members. Days before the finale, Rheams told WRAL News she hasn't forgotten her Raleigh roots.

"I've heard from the Enloe class of '88...I think I heard from all of my classmates and anyone who had anything to do with Theater in the Park," Rheams said.

The two Raleigh stars will compete on stage along with other contestants Tuesday night. On Wednesday night, one winner will be announced.

WRAL is excited to host an America's Got Talent finale watch party at Marbles Kids Museum, Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. The event is free of charge, but a limited number of tickets are available, so reserve yours now.
