RALEIGH, N.C. — Police vehicles were parked up and down the road of a Raleigh neighborhood on Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m.

A large police presence could be seen near the homes on New Hope Church Road at the intersection of Saratoga Drive.

A WRAL reporter on the scene said there were more than a dozen police vehicles, and some officers with tactical gear entered a home.

According to officials, police responded to a call for a hostage situation, but upon further investigation it turned out to be a false alarm.

There were no injuries.
