Marion, N.C. — A landslide has closed a stretch N.C. Highway 226 in McDowell County, according to emergency crews.
The road is closed near the U.S. Highway 221 intersection, and drivers were asked to use an alternate route of travel.
WYFF News reports the landslide occurred early Friday morning after Tropical Storm Zeta brought strong winds and heavy rain to the state.
