Median work planned for this weekend on the Capital Boulevard bridge project will require multiple lane closures in both directions.

The closure of the two inside north and southbound lanes through the work zone will start at 9 p.m. on Friday, with all lanes open by 6 a.m. on Monday. The closures are needed to allow contractor crews to safely work on the median.

The work is weather-dependent and could be postponed if there is rainy weather.

Drivers are urged to slow down through the work zone in the lanes that remain open and use extra caution for their safety and the safety of other drivers, passengers and construction workers.

Because of the possibility of impact on travel, motorists may also want to consider using alternate routes.
