La Madeleine Country French Cafe to open in Cary

The cafe will be located at 1115 Walnut St., in a 7,400 square-foot space near Cary Towne Center. The location will feature a large outdoor patio and indoor seating. It is expected to open July 12.

The restaurant is known for serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of the popular menu items include its signature Tomato Basil Soupe, Chicken Caesar Salade. as well as fresh baked goods.

Founded in 1983, the Dallas-based chain has more than 75 locations across the country.

It will be the first of two scheduled North Carolina locations for the franchise. The second location will be in Charlotte. The locations are owned by a group of current la Madeleine franchise owners, who also plan to open nine more cafes throughout Georgia.

“This partnership represents a significant step in our franchise development strategy, especially as we expand into the Cary community for the first time,” John Cahill, president of la Madeleine, said in a statement. “Our café is going to fit in perfectly as a gathering place for friends and families to enjoy country French cuisine in a laid-back and relaxing environment.”
