More than 21% of North Carolina's four-year-olds enrolled in the state's pre-kindergarten programs during the 2022-2023 school year, up from the prior year but still below the state's pre-pandemic highs, according to the National Institute for Early Education Research.

I paid for the $5.52 at the register using a Walgreens gift card I got from cashing in credit card rewards so I paid nothing at the register and still got back all the rewards and the Catalina register coupon (which I then used at Harris Teeter a few minutes later!).
