DAYTON, Ohio -- Kroger has dropped the ClickList name from its popular grocery pickup method.

The service is still the same: Order online or in app, pick a time to receive the groceries, show up and a personal shopper will explain the receipt and load the groceries into your vehicle. But it will now be called Kroger Grocery Pickup, according to the company.

"Moving forward, we are being more descriptive of the service to help our customers better understand our offerings: You will now see Pickup, Delivery and Ship as the methods to receive your grocery orders," Kroger said.

Grocery pickup has become increasingly popular as grocery stores race to provide the most convenience for shoppers, largely sparked by Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods Market last year.

Kroger Grocery Pickup has been growing rapidly and is now available in more than 1,000 Kroger Co. brand stores, including Kroger, Fred Meyer, Ralph's and Harris Teeter.
