CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Krispy Kreme opened a new location in Charlotte -- unlike anything you've seen yet.

This donut shop will be a dispensary. It acts like a vending machine, and shop owners say it's going to be a bit of an experiment.

"This Krispy Kreme is gonna be different than most Krispy Kremes you would see anywhere else," Rhianna Simard, district manager, told WCNC.

All hours of the day, you can score a fresh three-pack with a simple swipe. If the sensing machine's a hit here, you can expect to see more elsewhere.

The dispensary opens to the public Monday just across from the company's Innovation Center in the South End.
