Koka Booth Amphitheatre announces summer shows

Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson will bring their tour to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary this summer. 

According to their concert poster, the two will be "pickin, singin and storytellin'" on Aug. 7. 

The concert is one of several announced for the venue. Also on the slate for this summer – Glen Campbell on July 21 and Old Crow Medicine Show on Aug. 18.

Campbell is currently on his "Farewell Tour." The 76-year-old singer was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease last year.

Folk band Old Crow Medicine Show has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Merlefest. 

Tickets for all of these shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the amphitheatre box office, which is open Tuesday through Friday noon to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. You can also get your tickets through eTix.com. 

Prices for Haggard and Kristofferson and Campbell are $39.50 general admission/lawn and $59.50 for reserved seating. Lawn ticket prices will go up to $45 the day of the show. 

Old Crow's tickets are $34.50 for general admission, lawn or reserved table seat. Those prices go up to $40 the day of the show.
