<b>KNIGHTDALE, N.C.</b> — A substitute teacher at Knightdale High School has been charged with sex offense with a female student.

Christopher Nathaniel Smith, 24, of the 5000 block of Peacenest Drive in Raleigh, was arrested Wednesday on the charge stemming from an Oct. 29 incident.

A spokesman for the Wake County Public School System said Smith’s approval to work as a substitute was suspended Nov. 13 and revoked Tuesday.<br />
