Meteorologist, Amy Wilmoth in the severe weather center, a cold start this morning. But warming up this afternoon, temperatures will be pretty close to normal. We'll get up to 64 in Raleigh and Durham. 65. The high temperature in Fayetteville today, it will be cool during the evening hours. If you're headed outdoors this evening, we will be in the sixties through six o'clock. Then we're down to the upper fifties by seven o'clock and low fi by eight and nine o'clock. So it will turn a little bit chilly as we progress through the evening. But temperatures will stay above freezing overnight tonight, we will be in the upper thirties in our northern counties, low forties everywhere else. So we're not worried about a freeze and temperatures will continue to warm in the coming days. Still fairly cool on Wednesday with some spotty showers and some clouds. Highs will be in the mid fifties to the north, low sixties in Raleigh, low sixties down to the south in Fayetteville as well. But then as we get into Thursday, we have a southwesterly flow will warm into the seventies and eighties across the area. 80 for the high temperature in Raleigh, 81 in Fayetteville and 78 in Durham on Thursday. And then it's even warmer. On Friday. High temperatures will climb into the mid eighties for the southern half of the viewing area. Low eighties for the northern half. So we're kind of shifting from some winter, like temperatures to almost summer, like temperatures as we wrap up the work week, high pressure in control today, keeping weather nice and dry, a lot of sunshine out there. But that's going to move off shore tonight and that opens the door to a little bit of moisture that's to the west of us. So a couple of light showers possible, maybe some drizzle as we progress through the day, Wednesday, this is not going to add up to much, but you might want to have the rain jacket just to be on the safe side at lunchtime. Some showers will be possible. And then during the evening, things start to dry out a little bit, but we could see a little bit of fog overnight. Tomorrow night. The big story here, the warmer temperatures we're going to be in the 80s, Thursday and Friday. Some showers possible Saturday, especially the first half of the day, still pretty warm with a high of 78. And then Sunday, a beautiful finish to the weekend, mostly sunny with a high of 73.

A look at how an adult film star's allegations about an affair with Trump became the center of a Manhattan grand jury investigation

He had a hit television show. She was in adult films. He was 60. She was 27 when they met at a golf tournament in 2006 where Stormy Daniels says Donald Trump shared photos of his wife, his new baby boy and you had sex with him. And Trump has denied it ever since and to be bringing up that kind of crap and to be bringing up witch hunts all the time, that's all you want to talk about. Uh, later on, I knew her story has seemed at times confusing, for example, at one point, she signed statements denying any affair took place if it was untruthful why did you sign it? Because they made it sound like I had no choice. Yeah, I mean, no one was putting a gun to your head. Not physical violence. No. You thought that there would be some sort of legal repercussion if you didn't sign it. As a matter of fact, the exact sentence used was they can make your life hell in many different ways. Further complicating questions. Now, at the center of the legal case against Trump, did the alleged payoff come from campaign funds? And was that a violation of campaign finance laws, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who went to prison over that alleged hush money says yes and that Trump knew about it. But others in Trump's orbit say no way that money was not campaign money. Sorry. As for the former president just days ago, he leveled an insult at Daniels as he insisted. Once again, I did nothing wrong in the horse face case, never had an affair with her witch hunt. This story has been unwinding for years and it is now full of many twists and turns. But it may finally now be time for a court to sort it all out.

A Georgia couple still does not have their five children after a juvenile court hearing Monday morning, according to the attorney representing the family.

Bianca Claiborne and Deonte Williams were driving to a funeral in February when THP troopers pulled them over. The arrest warrant says the parents were stopped for dark tint windows and traveling in the left lane when not actively passing the family has been separated since that traffic stop and required to submit to drug testing. According to the Tennessee, look out some of the tests produced conflicting results and now raising new questions about drug testing accuracy. This family has been without their babies for 30 days. I can't imagine my life without my babies. A trooper arrested Deonte Williams after finding five g of marijuana inside the car and a gun in Claiborne's purse. Both Williams and Claiborne now face marijuana possession charges. The family's attorney says the Children were subsequently taken into D CS custody and now staying with a family friend, five Children taken away while one of them were still breastfeeding while the Department of Children's Services cannot comment on specific cases. A spokesperson says the number one goal of DCs is the safety and well being of Children. We talk about transparency a lot whether that be policy procedure protocol and in this case, we feel like those case managers did just that I asked what the DCs policy is as it relates to possession of marijuana, DCs collects evidence just like law enforcement. They then present that to the courts and the judge makes that decision and dcs follows out, but questions still remain as to exactly why dcs took the Children away and why they have been away from their parents for more than a month.

The USA Blind Men's Soccer Team held its first ever match in California and competed against Canada.

I cannot imagine getting a ball. It was a day of many firsts, the first match for the US men's blind soccer team against Canada. The team has eight athletes who have visual impairments along with two sided goalkeepers, Alvaro Mora Ariano started playing soccer at the age of five, just a couple years after losing his eyesight. All my family and friends always had the time to play with me. So and soccer is my, my, my, my first, my first love and his love for the game shined through. Today. We watched Alvaro score team USA very first goal. I hate history. I I scored the first goal for the US victory. Blind Soccer has been part of the Paralympic Games since 2004, but the US has never had a team. This will change in 2028 when LA hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games. As the host country, the US will get an automatic entry into the blind soccer competition And just like the us, Canada is trying to build their first team. So it's great that, you know, they're here and we're hosting them for this historic match. Some of the players we saw today could very well be bringing their skills to the Paralympic Games. In 2028. We have those games, but I'm sure that there are some more competitions coming soon and that will help us to prepare Jasmine Ramirez CBS.
