Kidzu Children's Museum will not be opening in its new location on Franklin Street this month.

According to an email from Tina Clossick, director of operations and programming, "unforeseen permitting requirements" have delayed the opening. Right now, it looks like they'll open in July.

The museum closed in May to move across Franklin Street to a spot in University Square. The new location will serve as Kidzu's temporary home until it moves into its permanent space on top of the Wallace Parking deck on Rosemary Street.

"We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate the understanding of our members and the community in accommodating the move," the email says. "Members of the museum, be assured that your memberships will be extended accordingly."
