Kick off spring by visiting with goats in Chapel Hill

Spring has arrived, bringing warmer temperatures, sunshine and more opportunities to spend time outdoors.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Spring has arrived, bringing warmer temperatures, sunshine and more opportunities to spend time outdoors.

Spring Haven Farm LLC's website says visiting is "all of the fun and joy of the farm with none of the work."

The farm, located at 5306 Homer Ruffin Road in Chapel Hill, is full of goats, chickens, pigs and horses.

Springtime with baby goats is $13.50 and other events, including movies with goats and baby goat Zen hour, range from $11.50 to $28.

There are goats, chickens, donkeys and horses at Spring Haven Farm LLC in Chapel Hill.

Visitors can add a feed bag to give the animals for a $1, which will send the animals running towards you! Visitors might feel a nibble of a goat on their shirt wanting some more food.

If you're feeling a little tired and want to rest during your visit, there's plenty of benches to sit up on around the farm. You might even get a visit from a goat or chicken wanting some snacks.

You might feel a nibble or two from a goat looking for a snack at Spring Haven Farm's goat yard.

Don't forget to hop on the tractor train for a tour of the farm's 90 acres before the end of your trip.

Is one day not long enough for a visit? Book the farm's Airbnb to enjoy the goats, Highlander cows and other animals for several days.
