<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A teenager was shot on Christmas Eve while walking in Durham.

The shooting happened in the 600 block of Cook Road, just before 10 p.m.

Police said the teenager, whose age was not released, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Even before Monday morning's shooting in Durham that killed two people under age 20 and wounded four juveniles, 14 people under age 16 had been shot in the city so far this year.

Authorities have identified Samuel "Sam" Poloche,  Joshua Eyer and William "Alden" Elliot and Thomas M. Weeks, Jr. as the four law enforcement officers who died in Monday's shooting in Charlotte.
