Juvenile in custody, charged with robbery of Fayetteville convenience store

Fayetteville police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect in a robbery of a convenience store.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have arrested a juvenile and charged him in the robbery of a convenience store.

The robbery happened on Dec. 28 at around 3:30 a.m. at the Circle K at the 1300 block of Hope Mills Road. Police said someone entered the business, picked up two items and placed them on the counter for checkout. The suspect then said he left his wallet outside and exited the store for approximately one minute.

Police said the suspect returned, produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Detectives said because the suspect is 17 and a juvenile, his identity will not be released.
