Just the Basics best deals

Here is your weekly list of good sale prices for the basics at our various grocery & drug stores including milk, meat, produce, eggs, bread, coupon items & more. This list includes deals from the sales ads, with a few regular priced items included. Please add any other great deals on basics that you find!

The big news this week is that Harris Teeter AND Lowes Foods are offering the Super Doubles promotion. You can see all the specific deals on the posts I have made this week for those stores.

Kroger is running their very popular “What a Deal” promotion where you buy 10 participating items and get $5 back at the register. It’s basically like getting .50 off each item. You need to buy all 10 in the same transaction.

Kroger: Kroger is running their deal on frozen turkey breast again this week through Thanksgiving Day!: .59/lb with an additional $25 purchase. Last year, we saw the price of frozen turkeys go as low as .47/lb at Harris Teeter with an additional $40 purchase. Keep in mind, though, that there is no guarantee they will go that low this year with the increases we are seeing across the board on groceries. See more details below.

Kroger cheese, 12 – 16 oz., $2.99 (like getting the 8 oz for $1.50, a decent deal)

HT: E-Vic Deal: Dixie Crystal Sugar, 4 lb, $1.97 - .55/1 from 10/7 SS = .87 if it doubles (such a good deal) and $1.42 if it does not double - still a good deal

HT: Mueller’s Angel Hair pasta, $1 - $1/3 coupon from 10/7 (expires 11/1) = .33 each (if coupon doubles)

There was a .50/2 printable coupon available in the Smart Shopper Coupons link in the box above recently. Total for 5 after coupon = $1.22 each – a very good deal

Kroger: Carnation evaporated milk, 12 oz can, .69 after promo discount - .50/2 coupon from 9/30 RP = .19 each (good stock up price for holiday cooking)

Some people are also getting coupons from the coupon kiosk in stores for $4 off $20 and/or a coupon for baby products which brings the price down even lower.

CVS: Angel Soft 9 big rolls, $4 - .25 coupon on the Angel Soft website = $3.75

There is also a .75/1 coupon from 10/28 that will make the toothpaste .25

RA: Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor, $9.99 - $4 +UP AND $4 coupon from 10/7 RP = $1.99 after reward and coupon

Total after reward and +UP = $5.99 ($4.49 each at CVS this week with combo of sale, coupons and reward)

WG: Advil PM pain relief, 4 count, $1 - $1 coupon from 10/28 RP = FREE

WG: Glucose Quick Sticks, 12 pack, $5.99 - $5.00 mail in rebate = FREE after rebate
