Johnston couple charged with giving liquor to 12-year-old

A Johnston County couple faces criminal charges involving a 12-year-old drinking alcohol, according to arrest warrants.

SELMA, N.C. — A Johnston County couple faces criminal charges involving a 12-year-old drinking alcohol, according to arrest warrants.

David Blaney Hocutt Jr., 31, and Melissa Ann Jackson, 28, both of 299 Old Creech Road in Selma, are charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The warrants state that they allowed the youth to drink shots of Captain Morgan rum, drink from a bottle of Long Island iced tea and drink from a can of light beer on Jan. 10.
