KENLY, N.C. — Holly Moore visited her cousin in the hospital Friday. She also visited the site where one of her best friends died.
Moore's cousin, Stephanie Heaton, was the passenger. 16-year-old Sarah Earp was the driver. The pair were headed to another friend's house when Earp, whom troopers say was speeding, lost control of her car on Princeton Kenly Road and ran into a ditch.

Earp was pronounced dead at the scene.

"She's gone," Moore said. "It's hard. I didn't expect this."

Moore wants other teens to avoid her pain.

"Drive slow," she said. "I don't care if you drive like your mom or your grandmom. Drive slow. I'd rather you be late than never show up."

She said Heaton was doing well during their visit at WakeMed. Heaton is expected to make a full recovery from her injuries.
