A Johnston County man was recognized Monday for helping save a family of four from a fire.

<b>JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A Johnston County man was recognized Monday for helping save a family of four from a fire.

The incident happened back in June, when Roger Dickerson was inside his garage on Cattle Farm Drive and heard a popping sound. He then realized his neighbor's house was on fire.

Dickerson broke down the door and helped the whole family get out.
