RALEIGH, N.C. — Jeff Kinney, author of the insanely popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series for kids, will make a stop in Raleigh on Nov. 5 to talk about his latest - Wimpy Kid #13: The Meltdown.

Quail Ridge Books is bringing the author to Raleigh for the special event, which will take place at Ravenscroft in north Raleigh. The one-hour event starts at 6 p.m. and, according to the description, will include lots of Wimpy Kid humor, trivia, cartooning, audience participation opportunities and ... potentially "snowball fights."

There will be a meet and greet with Kinney after the show (though he won't be signing books).

To get into the show, you'll need to purchase the new book from Quail Ridge through a special Eventbrite link. The book is $18.99. With the purchase of the book, you'll have the option of also getting a free companion ticket - so adults actually can go with their kids.

All of the details are spelled out on Quail Ridge's website. So head over there. But don't delay. In the last 30 minutes or so, tickets have been going pretty fast.
