RALEIGH, N.C. — Investigators are looking for a man they said was involved in a crash, stole another vehicle then ran off after he was confronted by Raleigh police.

WRAL's Julian Grace reports it all began Wednesday night on Interstate 87. Jonas Silver, Public Information Officer with Knightdale Police, said there was a crash and the suspect got into another person's vehicle and drove off.

Police found the suspect and the stolen vehicle on Walbury Drive in Raleigh a short time later. Officers pulled up to the vehicle and they said the suspect jumped out and ran away.

Raleigh Police are still looking for the man as of 11 p.m. Wednesday. They don't have a description and not much additional information is being released.

One person involved in the accident on I-87 was taken to Wake Med. That person's condition was unknown.
