Storms bring some relief from heat for Triangle; more rain on the way Thursday
Temperatures were a bit cooler Wednesday night after severe storms rolled through the Triangle, and more rain is on tap for Thursday.
Posted — Updated"It's not going to be quite as hot tomorrow as it has been for the last several days," Wilmoth said.
Temperatures on Thursday will still climb into the low 90s and WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said that more showers and storms are likely, particularly in the late afternoon and evening.
"Our risk for severe weather tomorrow is not high, but I do think whatever storms develop will produce a lot of lightning," she said.
Wilmoth said rain could start as early as 5 p.m., but the best chance for storms will be between about 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
