Injured man runs for help after shooting in Durham's McDougald Terrace

Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man injured in Durham's McDougald Terrace community.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man injured in Durham's McDougald Terrace community.

Officers on Thursday responded to 1258 Wabash St. just after midnight. They said a man who was shot ran behind a home in the community, where an ambulance picked him up.

Police are looking for the person who shot the man but have not provided any suspect information.

Crime scene tape was stretched along multiple streets in McDougald Terrace, and green cones marked the path where the victim ran immediately after the shooting.

The man was at the hospital in critical condition on Monday.

No charges have been filed. The shooting is under investigation.
