Find family fun year-round at these Raleigh indoor playgrounds, trampoline parks

RALEIGH, N.C. — When the weather doesn't cooperate for an outdoor day at the park, consider checking out one of these Raleigh indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks for your children.

The Raleigh location features an indoor arcade and laser tag best for older children, along with outdoor activities for those nicer days.

Location: 3311 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27604

A local chain of bowling alleys including North and South Raleigh locations. Features bowling lanes and an arcade. Family packages including bowling, shoe rentals and arcade credits are available. Open seven days a week from nine to ten o’clock, with Starlight late night bowling offered on Fridays and Saturday nights until 1:00 a.m. Closed on Sunday mornings.

If you are already spending your rainy day at the mall, give your kids a break from the shopping at the mall's playspace and coin-operated rides sit on the first floor next to Sears.

A chain of high adrenaline indoor play spaces featuring trampolines, battle beams, extreme dodgeball, basketball, ninja course, trapeze, and a zipline among other thrilling activities. While the playspace offers a kid’s jump for children six and under to get in on the fun with the help of a parent, this park is best suited for older children. Open all day until at least 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. Purchased tickets are required.

The north Raleigh indoor family fun center includes trampolines, laser tag, a ropes course, in-door go-karts, bumper cars, and a soft play space for children under 54” tall.

A free indoor and outdoor playground through Raleigh's Parks and Recreation Department. Features climbing structures including a rock climbing wall. Closed on Sundays, Saturday afternoons, and twice a day for cleaning, so be sure to check the hours before visiting.

Indoor ice-skating rink featuring the only Olympic size rink in North Carolina. Also offers a gaming room and rock climbing wall. Largely dedicated to skating lessons, programs, and hockey, the Iceplex also features summer and track-out camps as well as parties. Contact for hours and availability.

Indoor year-round ice skating rink with two Raleigh and several other Triangle locations. Largely dedicated to lessons, but features drop-in events, and dedicated public skate sessions for the whole family. Kids skating aids are available for rental on a first come first served basis. A large indoor playground inside of the Raleigh Tots to Teens furniture store showroom. Features a giant play-structure and also a dedicated toddler play area for children under two. Open playtime is available Monday through Fridays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The playspace is also available for rental for parties and private groups.

With locations in Raleigh and Durham, the indoor trampoline park features “wall to wall aerial action,” with tons of trampolines, foam pits, basketball, ultimate dodgeball, and related activities. Best for toddlers to preschoolers, this indoor Raleigh play space features imaginative open play as well as an art room where the kids can get messy. Little Doodles hosts regular weekly events like storytime in addition to periodic special events. Two Raleigh locations and one in Wendell. Open weekdays at 9:00 a.m. with closing hours varying by day and location.

This Raleigh trampoline and adventure park also offers virtual reality, bumper cars, a rock climbing wall, battle beams, obstacle courses, dodgeball, a basketball dunk zone, an indoor playground and, of course, lots of trampolines! Open Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. with longer weekend hours. Each attraction has its own height limit. While most attractions are geared toward older children, the Tubes Playground is for children under 52” tall.
