LILLINGTON, N.C. — The results of specialized DNA testing in the death of an 11-month-old Harnett County girl have delayed the indictment of the child's mother, who is accused of killing her.

Investigators discovered the body of 11-month-old Harmony Jade Creech in the attic of the child's home near Spring Lake in October after the child's mother, Johni Michelle Heuser, reported the child missing a day earlier.

Heuser, 25, who is charged with first-degree murder, has yet to be indicted while prosecutors wait for DNA test results from a Texas company examining the infant's skeletal remains.
