Year-round students head back to school on Monday, and it won't be long before school starts again for the traditional calendar.

As summer break is coming to end for many students, some "flash card" apps can help your kids hit the ground running when they go back to class.

Tiny Cards makes it easy to learn about all kinds of topics, from history to foreign languages. Select the lesson, learn the card and word and answer back correctly. It's a fun way to hear pronunciation, study illustrations and unlock new decks of virtual cards! Tiny Cards is free for iOS and Android.

Quizlet can help your student learn a new language, test their vocabulary knowledge and study subjects like math, chemistry and biology. There's even a match game where users can play against the clock, make their own flashcards and check stats! Quizlet is free for iOS and Android, and you can make some purchases in the app.
Finally, Studystack allows users to learn by playing crossword puzzles, matching and other games. You can also find flashcards for a subject and quiz yourself. Studystack is free for iOS and Android.
